These photographs were donated by the Carlisle Family to the York County Library when the Carlisle Photography Studio was disassembled upon the death of photographer Marion Carlisle. There are pictures of disasters such as the washout of a railroad bridge due to floods on the Catawba River in 1916 and the damage resulting from a tornado in 1926. The photographs were taken by Marion Carlisle and his daughter Ora Lee Carlisle.
